SAS Services offers individual, team, and organizational assessments that help organizations to maximize their potential.  SAS also offers specific trauma-informed organizational assessments to aid organizations on their journey to become more trauma-informed in their policies and practices.

SAS Services offers comprehensive organizational assessments tailored to meet the unique needs of each organization.  Assessments seek to understand core strengths, issues, and challenges faced at the individual, team, and organizational levels.  Through the assessment process, SAS helps organizations to identify actionable strategies to improve alignment and enhance performance.  With a data-informed, people-centered approach, SAS Services helps organizations build stronger, more resilient, and purpose-driven workplaces.

  • Individual Assessments: supporting individuals and leaders to increase their self-awareness, improve emotional intelligence, and promote professional development.

  • Team Assessments: assisting teams to improve their overall effectiveness by building trust, engaging in productive conflict, and improving communication and collaboration.

  • Organizational Assessments: helping organizations to assess their strategies, culture, structure, systems, practices and processes to support strategic decision-making and long-term success.

Trauma-Informed Care Assessments

There has been a growing recognition of the profound impact trauma has on individuals, families, teams, organizations, and communities. Trauma results from an event, series of events, or circumstances that are experienced as physically or emotionally harmful or life-threatening. These experiences can have lasting adverse effects on an individual’s functioning and overall well-being—mentally, physically, socially, emotionally, or spiritually. Trauma is complex and experienced in a variety of ways.

As a result, there is an increasing need for organizations—especially those in human services, healthcare, social work, judiciary, and education—to adopt trauma-informed approaches to better support the people they serve.

For over 15 years, SAS Services has helped individuals and organizations integrate Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) into their work with both staff and clients.

As organizations integrate trauma-informed policies and practices, SAS also supports them in moving beyond trauma-informed care and embracing healing-centered practices to enhance the workplace and the quality of the services they provide.

A trauma-informed organization or individual commits to:

  • Realizing the widespread impact of trauma and understanding how it affects individuals, groups, and communities.

  • Recognizing the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients, families, staff, and others within the system.

  • Responding by incorporating trauma knowledge into all aspects of operations—policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Resisting re-traumatization by identifying practices that may cause harm and working collaboratively to create safe, supportive environments.

As our communities—and the world—continue to face trauma in various forms, our focus remains clear: to help individuals and organizations understand the impact of trauma and move toward healing-centered, compassionate practices that foster well-being for all.
